Phytofactories 2023

Phytofactories 2023

Phytofactories 2023 is an international conference on plant molecular farming that will take place on 7-9 June 2023 in Luxembourg and is organized by the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).

Phytofactories 2023 focuses on the exploitation of plant diversity and emphasizes the use of plant cell and tissue cultures. The ambition is to cover the valorization chain of plant resources using innovative biotechnological approaches and bioprocesses.

Phytofactories 2023 will bring together experts in the production and characterization of specialized plant metabolites, as well as those applying this knowledge in metabolic engineering, pilot processes and germplasm preservation technologies. The conference will cover topics such as the establishment and optimization of plant cell and tissue cultures, the characterization of metabolites and the latest innovations in bioreactor cultivation, metabolic engineering and downstream processing.

Time-slots dedicated to scientific exchanges will be planned among participants to maximize interactions and favour networking and future collaborations.

The programme will include dynamic and scientifically engaging sessions where colleagues will meet and discuss the latest advances in the areas of plant science and biotechnology. Specific emphasis will be given to the exploitation of plant diversity using plant cell and tissue cultures. Besides keynote lectures, there will be oral presentations and poster sessions.
