REPRODIVAC Community at the International Veterinary Vacccinology Network (IVVN https://www.intvetvaccnet.co.uk/) Conference 2024: Strengthening Global Collaboration in Veterinary Vaccinology.
The REPRODIVAC community, including partners from the Pirbright Institute (TPI), Moredun Research (MRI), Centro de Investigacion y Tecnologia Agroalimentaria de Aragon (CITA), and the University of Navarra (UON), was attending the International Veterinary Vaccinology Network (IVVN) Conference 2024, held on 9-10 November in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This important event, hosted in partnership with the Biotechnology Center of Ho Chi Minh City, provided a unique opportunity for global experts in veterinary vaccinology to share insights, discuss recent advancements, and forge new collaborations.
The conference focused on the development of vaccines for livestock and zoonotic diseases, particularly in low-and-middle income countries (LMICs). It was a key moment for the REPRODIVAC community to present the latest findings from its research, alongside a wide range of exciting new projects and innovative techniques in the field of animal vaccines.
With presentations from invited speakers, abstract-based talks, networking sessions, and a poster session, the IVVN conference offered a dynamic and productive environment for the global veterinary community to come together. The REPRODIVAC teams found it to be a valuable opportunity to deepen collaborations within the project and expand connections with other experts, all while contributing to the shared mission of improving animal health and disease prevention worldwide.
This conference also underscored the importance of international cooperation and knowledge exchange in the pursuit of effective vaccines for animal health, with a particular emphasis on the challenges and opportunities in LMICs.
As the REPRODIVAC project continues to progress, these exchanges will be crucial in helping shape the future of veterinary vaccinology and ensuring that cutting-edge research translates into tangible benefits for both animal and public health.
